Sheathed saws
Sheathed saws are used if one saws frequently or if the saw is used as a standard tool (e.g. by a professional gardener). A Silky sheathed saw has the blade running the length of the grip so it is stronger with less flexion than a folding saw. There are Silky sheathed saws from 18 cm up to 42 cm blade length. There are two different kinds of blades: straight to be used when sawing from above e.g. on a workbench, and curved which are the easiest to use when sawing from underneath e.g an overhanging branch.
