Pruning from a distance requires a reliable and versatile saw. The 390 mm long curved blade of the Hayauchi is equipped with Silky’s unique 4-RETSUME teeth. These cause a large wood removal, so that you can saw very rapidly through the thickest branches and gives you the flexibility to saw in all directions in relation to the wood grain. Ideal for the bigger jobs! The blade is adjustable in two different angles for both high and low pruning.
The two sickles on the blade cooperate for an optimal pruning result. With the lower sickle you can undercut the bark, so that this does not tear off the trunk when the branch falls. The upper sickle helps you to keep the blade in the sawing cut. You can also use the upper sickle to cut little twigs off the trunk or to pull little (dead) branches from the tree.
As the aluminum pole is oval-shaped, you have a very precise control over the direction of the blade, something you will need when pruning at great height. Moreover, this shape gives more strength and rigidity over the full length of the pole saw, and reduces bending to a minimum.
The two locking mechanisms (pushbuttons and levers) together create the safest and most stable locking of the preferred pole length. The lowest pole part is covered with rubber for a comfortable and safe grip. The bumper at the bottom protects the pole from bumps or thrusts.
Will you be using the Hayauchi for the first time? Start with lower branches to get familiar with the pruning technique and always think of your own safety. Wear a safety helmet and make sure you stand at a safe distance from falling branches.
The Hayauchi 6300 is now delivered with new nickel coating.
The name Hayauchi is composed of the Japanese words for ‘fast’ (haya) and ‘sawing’ (uchi).
Optionally available:
The Hayauchi is available in 4 extended lengths: 3000 – 3670 – 4900 and 6300 mm.
The Hayauchi will be delivered with a tailor-made plastic cover that protects the blade. The cover has two notches so that the pole saw can be hung up.
As with any Silky saw, the teeth stay sharp for a long time. If deemed necessary, the teeth of the Hayauchi can be sharpened with a Silky file.
The blade must be kept clean to maintain its efficiency. Resin dissolves in olive oil, which is an effective and environmental friendly way to maintain the blade with.
When not using the saw, make sure it is fully dry before retracting the poles. Slide the cover over the blade and store the pole saw at a dry place.
Do not forget to frequently check whether the screws on the blade are still properly tightened.
